The Role of the Estate and Facilities Management (EFM) Division is to facilitate and/or perform the provisioning and maintenance of these facilities and services.

The Estate and Facilities Management reports to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Institutional Support (DVC: IS) and is organised in the following line functions:

Infrastructure Services   George Estate & Facilities

Maintenance Service

Is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of buildings and plans as well as utilities infrastructure and services on various campuses.  It is also responsible for all compliance requirements for the safe operation of machines and plans.

Support Services

Is responsible for provision of student transport, shuttle services, catering service, cleaning and hygiene services, conferencing and events management (external clients), including bi-annual vacation accommodation programme, occupational safety, health and environment services, postal and courier services and commercial leasing of university premises.

Protection Services

Is responsible or the provision of security and traffic services, including student and staff parking on all campuses. 

Infrastructure Services and Sustainability

Is responsible for the planning and development of new infrastructure along with the management of related construction projects.  Maintenance of grounds and horticulture.

George Estate and Facilities Management

Is responsible for over-seeing the Infrastructure, Maintenance, Support and Protection services issues at the George Campus.  Reports to the SD: EFM and Campus Principal.
